Love your motherhood.

Therapy for Moms in Littleton, CO

Supporting Moms from Pre-conception to Empty Nesters

You’re tired of feeling like you are just barely surviving your motherhood.

It’s like you can never be good enough

If you’ve been a mother more than 5 minutes, you know that motherhood struggles don’t end with the postpartum period. In fact, many moms might argue that is when the struggles amp up.

You battle strong-willed children, differences of parenting with your partner, loss of yourself, and have no time or energy for self-care. You feel like you are failing at home, at work, or whatever other roles you play. You move at a million miles an hour. You answer “How are you?” With “Busy” or “Tired” because that is the most honest answer.

You love your kids with all your heart but you secretly admit that you don’t always love being a mom. You miss parts of you that seem long forgotten, freedom, self-care, making decisions for what is best for you, and a good night sleep.

Motherhood has the magical ability to both bring out the best in you and the worst in you all at once!

Sound like you?

Feeling stuck in a funk, you don’t necessarily hate life, but you definitely aren’t loving it

Your anger surprises even you sometimes, and then you feel super guilty and like a bad mom.

Ready to stop living your life in survival mode

Wishing that your smiles in your social media pics actually could reflect how you truly feel.

Here’s what we’ll do together

Therapy can help you get to the root of your discontentment.

No two moms are alike. That’s why when I work with moms, I tailor my approach to every single woman who I work with. Together we identify parts of your personality, your strengths, your struggles, and what is triggering the heck out of you.

There are so many reasons a woman may be struggling in this stage, and I work to not make any assumptions. We will discover what is truly bothering YOU, what the source is of the struggle, whether it is rooted deep in the past or triggered by the everyday behaviors of those around you today.

Understanding is not enough though. So many of the mamas I work with are brilliant and have a pretty great understanding of their situations, they just can’t figure out how to change it. That’s where I come in.

I work with each client to develop her own realistic self care protocols that actually fit with her busy mom-life to support her outside of my office. Then we address the core issues with a variety of methods which may include EMDR or Brainspotting, or more traditional talk therapy (Usually a combination of both).

At the end of the day, I want you to know:

Motherhood is the hardest job on earth! AND it is the most beautiful and you can delight in it, and not lose yourself in the process.

FAQs

  • Moms are such an important part of our communities and families. "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy." When a mother is struggling her whole family is impacted, as well as her world outside her family. When moms are thriving, the whole world around her feels the impact. Also, many moms feel powerless to impact some of the struggles their kids are going through, but the truth is sometimes we can make a big difference in the struggles of the children/teens, by working through the power of the mother.

  • I have spent my entire adult life focused on motherhood. I have been a mom for 25 years and am a mom to 4 girls and a step mom to 2 grown boys. I have been there personally and have learned that motherhood is really stinking hard if you are doing it right. Additionally, I have spent more than 20 years of my career supporting moms in a variety of roles, from non-profits and community mental health, to my private practice. My passion is motherhood, my calling is motherhood and my world is motherhood.
